Version: .NET Framework 4.8. The April 9, 2024 update for Windows 10, version 1607 and Windows Server 2016 includes security and cumulative reliability improvements in .NET Framework 4.8. We recommend that you apply this update as part of your regular maintenance routines.

How to get and install the update Method 1: Microsoft Update. This update is available from Microsoft Update. When you turn on automatic updating, this update will be downloaded and installed automatically.

Go to Uninstall Office from a PC and follow the steps to uninstall the version of Office (or stand-alone Office application, such as Visio or Project) you don't want. Install the 32-bit or 64-bit version of Office. Select your version below and follow the installation steps.

Summary. Windows 11, versions 22H2 and 23H2 share a common core operating system with an identical set of system files. Therefore, the new features in Windows 11, version 23H2 are included in the latest monthly quality update for Windows 11, version 22H2 but are in an inactive and dormant state.

The MANIFEST files (.manifest) and the MUM files (.mum) that are installed for each environment are listed separately in the "Additional file information for Windows 7 and for Windows Server 2008 R2" section. MUM and MANIFEST files, and the associated security catalog (.cat) files, are critical to maintaining the state of the updated component.
